3. Dual gigabit networking with optional additional dual ten gigabit (10Gb) ethernet interfaces for direct connection to suitable switches or further SuperSphere or other systems to cluster if required.

SuperSphere is optimised for large, fast storage and is designed to grow as your requirements evolve. Buy a system with say 8 hard disks, 6 cores, 6GB RAM and gigabit networking and then add more capacity and throughput as you need it.
